The American Foundation for Translation and Interpretation (AFTI) is pleased to offer a limited number of $500 scholarships to current students and recent graduates of translation or interpreting studies programs or related fields defray the registration cost to attend the ATA Annual Conference.
How to Apply
Eligibility
Applicants must satisfy all three of the following eligibility requirements or they will be disqualified:
1a. A current full-time or part-time student
- Undergraduate or graduate level
- Enrolled at a two-year or four-year college or university
- In a program in:
- Translation
- Interpreting
- Translation and Interpreting
- A related field (terminology management, translation project management, etc.)
- Leading to an academic degree or certificate
OR
1b. Recently graduated from a program satisfying the requirements listed above
- Recent graduates must have completed their program within twelve months of the starting date of the 2024 ATA Conference.
- Never attended an ATA Annual Conference in person. (Attendees of the 2020 ATA 61st Annual Conference online are eligible to apply.)
- Never received scholarship funding from AFTI.*
*Exception: Recipients of the 2020 AFTI Scholarship to attend the ATA 61st Annual Conference online are eligible to apply to attend an ATA conference in person.
